Seven Generations

She had been running

for Seven Generations.

Ever followed.

Ever haunted.

by a constant shadow of Business

that never showed his true face.

A feeling of Never Enough.

always of More.

She decided to stop.

To Pause.

To make a Halt.

In the midst of a world,

that was still running,

it was the bravest thing,

She had ever done.

She knew it was time.

Her Body had shown her.

Her Mind had told her.

Her Heart had whispered to her.

As She stopped to listen,

to the Howl of the Beast of her Body

to the Hum of the Song of her Soul:

It is Enough.

You are Enough.

She decided

to set out on a New Road.

Even if it was a lonely one.

Even if she had to take the first steps

on her own.

In the great wide open,

with no Path to step onto

except the Wild Ways of her own heart.

She knew, she had to be a different kind of brave

as a bow to her Ancestors,

as a Legacy to her great Grand Children,

as an honour to Herself.

And so she stepped apart,

and so she stepped out.

For the next Seven Generations.
