August Full Moon

The August Full Moon brings illumination and revelation, opening a new chapter for us all—one we unlock step by step by letting our emotional intelligence lead the way and staying true to our hearts.

The August Full Moon—known as the Sturgeon Moon— is also called the Grain Moon, marking the time of year when grains are traditionally harvested. It symbolises abundance, nourishment, and the rewards of steady growth. Under this moon, we are reminded to gather the fruits of our inner and outer labour, to give thanks for what is ripening in our lives, and to honour the sacred cycles of sowing and reaping. Just as the grain nourishes the body, the insights and revelations of this moon nourish the soul.

As the Sun aligns with the Moon and illuminates it in its full form, we too are invited to see something that has previously been hidden from us. During a Full Moon, things often come to a head or reach fruition, and we are supported in connecting more deeply with our emotions—experiencing a kind of inner awakening and revelation.

August is a peak season for celestial beauty, and this year’s Full Moon is extra special. In 2025, the Full Moon rises across two consecutive nights: the evenings of August 9 and 10. This rare occurrence gives us more time to tune in, reflect, and receive the Moon’s luminous messages.

Use your spirituality as your superpower

The Full Moon in Aquarius invites us to connect with the unseen realms and awaken to the subtle wisdom within. It amplifies our ability to make intuitive decisions and illuminates the unique path our soul longs to walk.

This is a powerful time to tap into your spiritual gifts and reconnect with your inner knowing. Close your eyes to see the world from within. There is so much more to life than what we perceive with our physical senses.

As a human being, you are both matter and spirit. And just as your body grows stronger through use, so too do your emotional and spiritual ‘muscles’. You may be familiar with the term ‘third eye’—a mystical centre associated with insight and intuition, now known as the pineal gland. French philosopher René Descartes called it the “seat of the soul,” and it is linked not only to sensory perception but also to our psychic awareness.

Let your feelings guide the way.

In astrology, Aquarius is known as the Water Bearer—a symbol that, despite Aquarius being an air sign, is deeply connected to the emotional realm. The water it carries represents the emotional currents that guide us through life.

During this Full Moon, allow your inner world of feelings to come forward and lead you into the next phase of your journey. Try not to ‘overrule’ your emotional responses just because they don’t fit neatly into your current reality, expectations, or dreams for the future.

Instead, experiment with what happens when you honour them as valid guidance. Open yourself to the possibility that your emotions might lead you to an even better destination than the one you imagined with your practical, rational mind.

Practicing Non-Judgment

Being human is such an incredible experience. The highs, the lows, the joy and the sorrow—you are here to taste it all. As the Sufi poet Rumi said: “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there.”

The Full Moon in Aquarius teaches us to embrace all aspects of life without labelling them as good or bad. In the end, everything we go through as humans brings growth. Life is not a record that plays on repeat, but a new experience each and every day. Some days we feel little change, and other days everything turns upside down.

The next season brings change, and you are destined to feel it in your own life—on some level. Both collectively and personally, we are preparing to experience so much more.

The Age of Aquarius has been called “The Great Revolution of Consciousness”, and during this Full Moon, the cosmos is aligning to support your spiritual evolution.

Through your emotions, you are being prepared for a timely upgrade.

The August Full Moon invites you to feel the blessing that it is simply to be alive—by opening your heart to the unseen worlds.

Feel the feels.
Open your heart.
Let Love in.

Full Moon Blessings,
