May New Moon

The May New Moon is showing up as the perfect nurse to help you heal whatever wounds have been brought to the surface, and take us by the hand into the finale of the symphony of spring, where we are invited to enjoy the little wonders that find their way into our lives.

Heal Your Wounds

As we now find ourselves on the other side of Spring’s eclipse season — a time that has shaken and stirred our lives throughout April and May — we might feel a bit tender, even battered and bruised. And this is when the May New Moon arrives as the perfect nurse and soul whisperer, helping us find peace in each moment.

Take this moment as a gentle pause in the great wheel of existence, a time when the grander plans you hold for your life can take a back seat — if only for a little while. This is the time to create space to truly listen: listen to your body, your inner voice, and to what truly nourishes your life — and your soul.

Letting Go to Let in

Chances are, you may feel like you're in a different place now. Ready for a new cycle. This is a good time to sift and sort — go through drawers, relationships, possessions. Not for the sake of control, but for the sake of revelation. Of how far you’ve come. Of where you are now. And to create a little space for the new to enter.

Take a moment — or an entire day — to practise the art of connecting with what nourishes you, using a simple ‘yes or no’ approach. If something no longer sparks joy, let it go. Remember: as hard as it can be to release habits, things, and people we once dreamed and danced with, now is the time to find the courage to do just that. Not for the pain — but for the release, the renewal, and the recycling.

Finding Your Courage

It always takes courage to do something new—to shift the way we’ve done things, to make choices that impact the trajectory of our lives.

But this is how we grow. It is often these kinds of leaps, when Life undeniably asks us to choose, that ultimately expand us in the ways our Soul longs to flourish.

During this New Moon, simply allow yourself to slow down, tune in to your senses, and appreciate the simple pleasures that life has to offer. By doing so, you align with the natural flow of the universe and open yourself to the abundance and prosperity that are available to you.

As you learn to anchor yourself in the fertile soil of possibility, you can truly open to the power of co-creation, where Life will meet you halfway.

May this New Moon be a catalyst for transformation. May you set intentions with clarity and purpose, and nurture them like a gardener tending budding seeds.

May you be propelled towards your true expression and potential.

New Moon Rituals

Fill your cup

New Moons are a time for rejuvenation and manifestation. If something feels lacking in your life, this is the moment to fill it—whether through a new experience, connection, or item. We must make space for beginnings and even a little foolishness during New Moons. Remember, we are all fools when starting something new, so don’t be afraid to experiment.

Journal

Pick up your favourite pen and write about your current mood. Are you feeling guarded, tense, open-hearted, free, childish, or unexpectedly pleased? Checking in with how you feel can help you understand your present state of being.

Leap over your fear

Many of us know what it’s like to be shut down by someone unwilling to listen to what truly works for us. And sometimes, that someone may be the traumatised parts of you that refuse to listen to the hopeful parts within.May part of your release from fear during this New Moon be the acceptance of your fears, and the gentle act of soothing yourself in each moment. Worry cannot be what leads you, beloved.During this New Moon, try experimenting with leaping over your old stories by connecting to the one you are living right now. Don’t let the fear of others’ reactions, or the need for their approval, hold you back from walking the path of your dreams.

SING YOUR SONG

Just like your fingerprint and your heartbeat, each human being’s song is unique. A painter doesn’t think, ‘Oh, all the colours have already been made, already been used by so many others.’ A composer doesn’t think, ‘Oh, all the tones have been used, and all the works have been composed.’ Like the nightingale who changes their tune over time—with the weather, with the echoes of how their song is received—we too can sing our song to the world in tune with the moment regardless of our past stories. If you must, start with a soft hum, a whisper—sing to yourself. Your heart doesn’t ask for permission to beat. And your song should feel as natural as your heartbeat. Your song belongs my beloved. And you are the only one who can sing it.
