Sap Full Moon
The Sap Moon rises quietly,
carrying the first movement of life beneath the surface —
a soft return of flow,
where what has been resting begins to awaken
A Threshold of Softening
The March Full Moon is often called the Sap Moon — a name that honours the slow rising of life within the trees, as sap begins to flow with the return of warmth. In the Northern Hemisphere, this is also the time when maple trees are tapped, and the sap of birch trees begins to rise.
This moon also carries the name Worm Moon, rooted in Native American and early colonial traditions, marking the time when the earth softens and worm trails appear in the thawing ground. As the soil warms, life stirs beneath the surface, and migrating birds return to feed.
Other names for this moon include the Chaste Moon, Death Moon, and Crust Moon — each reflecting the in-between nature of this season.
A Gentle Leap into New Beginnings
March’s Full Moon often falls close to the Spring Equinox, marking the closing of the astrological year — a release of the past twelve-month cycle and an opening into the space of new beginnings.
Under this Full Moon, your new chapter may be closer than you realise. Attending to your inner “housekeeping” now will gently prepare you for the path ahead. This Full Moon supports you in releasing what no longer belongs — and in taking a quiet leap of faith towards what does.
The Powerful Practice of Forgiveness and Letting Go
The March Full Moon is here as your sacred companion, helping you embrace the power of release. However, letting go is not as easy as it sounds. It takes courage to un-own false truths.
A big part of letting go is learning to forgive. Forgiveness is a powerful force that dissolves resentment, bitterness, and the sense of lost opportunities or wasted time.
It is about minimising the space you hold for past hurts and violations. More importantly, it is about forgiving yourself for past choices and broken dreams—choosing instead to practise gratitude for the lessons they carried.
Forgiveness is about reframing events and emotions within your inner world. Consider the things that harmed you as something that was never truly yours to begin with—burdens offered by someone else or shaped by the outside world, but not a reflection of who you are.
Whatever emotions or memories arise during this Full Moon, trust that they are surfacing to be seen, reframed, and perhaps even transformed. Self-forgiveness allows you to release the weight of past choices and move forward with clarity.
Remember, you (and others) have mostly acted with the best intentions and the resources available at the time. But we are all human. Just as you carry wounds, so do others—but they also carry hopes and dreams, just like you.
Life is about learning. As you forgive yourself and others, you create space for new opportunities. Often, we hold on to the past not because it defines who we are now, but because it feels familiar—even when it no longer serves us.
You may have already changed more than you realise. Now is the time to trust the wiser, more experienced version of yourself. It is time to shift your gaze forward, towards where you will apply the lessons you have learned.
If you still find (self-)forgiveness difficult, remember this: when we forgive, it is not just for the other person—it is for ourselves. Letting go of resentment frees our energy, restores our joy, and opens our eyes to the opportunities that exist in the present moment. With that in mind, perhaps forgiveness feels a little easier now?
RELEASE
all that no longer defines you,
and
BEGIN
to make choices
that
SUPPORT
your future path.

Embracing Change: The Eclipse Gateway of the Spring Season
This March Full Moon opens a period of heightened transformation within the Spring Season — an eclipse window, when the Sun and Moon align near the lunar nodes. Eclipse seasons occur roughly every six months and act as cosmic catalysts, accelerating shifts that have been quietly building beneath the surface.
Lunar eclipses illuminate what must be released or brought into awareness, while solar eclipses highlight new beginnings and opportunities waiting to emerge.
As light and shadow dance in the sky, they mirror the inner work we are called to do: releasing outdated patterns, embracing new perspectives, and stepping into a more authentic version of ourselves.
This is a powerful period for reflection and intention-setting, as the universe clears paths that may have once seemed blocked.
Trust the process, even if it feels uncertain — eclipses have a way of guiding us exactly where we are meant to be.
Over the coming weeks, trust your own teachings and your intuition when you sense that something is right — or wrong. Trust that you are already in the midst of creating a better life, in this very moment.
Believe in your own power to influence and create by letting go of the past and stepping into a new space — blank, pristine, and ready for you to paint with all your beautiful colours.
The world is waiting for your beauty to unfold.

Practices for the Worm Full Moon
Heart Opener
On an emotional level, the heart opener can support you in standing up tall. We must continually practice to stand up for ourselves in a balance of facing the world and keep our own values intact. The Heart Opener will assist you in this and allow for your heart to stay open to receive the blessings in your life.
Create Something
During this Full Worm Moon, give yourself permission to bring forth something new — a small act, a thought, a gesture, or a piece of yourself. Let it be for you, first and foremost.
As you nurture your own creative spark, the ease of creation will unfold. What begins as a gift to yourself will ripple outward, eventually touching others in ways you may not yet imagine.
